La Costa Oaks opened in 2004. This master planned neighborhood is located about 5 miles from the ocean, accessed off of  La Costa Avenue and Rancho Santa Fe Road.
 
This community of 1032 homes consists of 12 neighborhoods, and has been developed by a number of well-known area developers - Davidson Homes, Shea Homes, K. Hovnanian, Pulte, Centex Homes, and Warmington Homes. Properties range in size from around 1,900 SF to a bit over 4,700+ SF with 3 to 5+ bedrooms.  To date, 8 neighborhoods have been sold.  3 brand new neighborhoods are currently selling along with Re-sales.
 
The initial phases of this community included 6 separate neighborhoods; Clifton Heights, Starboard,  Highgrove, Colrich, Stoneridge and Hillock. (SEE FLOORPLANS BELOW)  Two newer neighborhoods have now sold out; Rockledge and Copperwood.  Three new neighborhoods are currently selling; Amberly, Westcott and Sandalwood.

Many of the homes offer beautiful views of the back country, the La Costa preserve, and some vistas include ocean views all the way to Catalina Island. The neighborhood is also very close to award winning schools, and is within walking distance to La Costa Canyon High School and many Elementary Schools.
 
The current price range for homes is approximately $590,000 to $1,500,000. Homes offer between 3 and 5+ bedrooms, and 3.5 and 5.5 bathrooms. Living space in these properties is abundant, from about 1,900 SF to around 4,721 SF, many homes with large view lots.
